Independent, thoughtful leadership
Representing Lompoc for the past eight years has been an honor. When first elected, our city was in financial strife and disrepair. As mayor, I have worked to restore our General Fund Reserve; upgraded JM, Thompson, Beattie, Ryon, Pioneer, and soon, College Park. To address our public safety needs, I voted to replace 30-year-old firetrucks with two new trucks while adding a second brush firetruck; modernized the Police Department’s radios, added body cameras and new dispatch system as well as new lighting on H Street. Many processes from planning and building to finance and billing have been modernized and streamlined. I have rebuilt partnerships with county, state, and federal leaders that are critical to Lompoc’s success. I understand Lompoc and want it to be a community where everyone has opportunities. I left the city of Lompoc in the best financial and physical health it has been in decades and can only hope the new council continues the legacy they have been handed for the benefit of all in our amazing community.
