Movies Old School

Now this idea is one I know many in our community want and have discussed for years! Bring back the Drive In! The hard part about that is 1) it’s located outside the city limits, 2) it’s private property, and 3) it’s in the flood plane. But these aren’t insurmountable problems. We could annex the property if the owners were agreeable. We could raise funds to purchase the property or lease it from the owners. And there are modern technologies that we could utilize that wouldn’t necessarily place utilities in the ground or require a permanent structure that would be washed away in a flood. This is one of those ideas that would need a ton of planning and fundraising but I know we all would enjoy having it reopened.
